Laminated Safety Glass
tends to resist heavy impacts.
PVB Laminated is a safety glass made by a heat and pressure process that laminates two or more sheets of glass with a flexible interlayer between them. Generally this interlayer is .38mm thick, although for auto or extra strength a double interlayer of .76mm thick is used. The safety aspects of this glass result from the PVB layer which prevents the glass disintegrating if broken and also acts as a preventative barrier against penetration.
By using a tinted interlayer, laminated glass can be used to reduce heat transmission. The plastic properties of the interlayer in PVB laminated act with a sound dampening effect and can provide sound control equivalent to that of ordinary glass of twice the thickness.
.
Laminated glass is normally used when there is a
possibility of human impact or where the glass could fall if shattered.
We manufacture 4mm to 19mm thick flat & curved Laminated Safety Glasses confirming to ISI:2553 Standards for Automobile, Railways,
State Road Corporations, Commercial buildings and other applications.
Our products are duly tested and approved by CIRT, ARAI- Pune.
